Bored Now...

...so maybe I'll complain about Supernatural for a bit.

Outstanding show. Solid acting. Very funny. Hot male leads. Usually well written. I have one big beef about this season (or at least one episode):

In the episode Hammer of the Gods, most of the non-Christian gods (whose followers will not bomb the CW network) have assembled at a hotel called Elysian Fields to discuss how to stop the coming Christian apocalypse. As stated in the episode by Kali herself: how western centric can you get? We were here long before the upstart Christians and we will be here long after. (And as far as mythology goes Kali would wipe the floor with Lucifer with only only of her arms). Near the end of the episode Lucifer arrives and easily dispatches all the other deities (except Kali who escaped with the brothers Winchester at the last minute). How come and why?

It seemed to be a really quick and convenient way to explain away why the beliefs of the majority of the planet have been and will continue to be ignored by the west. I get that this is the personal vision of Eric Kripke and he can do whatever he wants but still...

I didn't like it. Not one bit.

At least the Norse gods could have put up more of a fight.

And what was with Satan's comment to his brother Gabriel that he was turning against him (Satan) because of a woman (Kali)? The sneer made me cringe... This episode seemed really sexist, even for Supernatural (yes most of the show is but I can forgive this because of the writing and the hotness of the actors).

Sigh.

At least I can content myself with naughty thoughts about angels...or at least one (looking at you, Castiel...)

Andrew finds it amusing that I am still annoyed with Episode 19 after all these weeks. I find it annoying.
